Liability for Links

By judgment of May 12, 1998 – 312 O 85/98 –

the Regional Court (Landgericht) of Hamburg ruled that the inclusion of a link may entail joint responsibility for the content of the linked page. This can only be avoided by expressly distancing oneself from such content.
